New Delhi: Chinese electronics firm LeEco said it will start selling its latest 4G smartphone Le 1s at subsidised rates on Flipkart from Tuesday.

“We are working on whole Internet eco-system and not just devices. We will open the sale of Le 1s for Rs 10,999 on Flipkart and customers purchasing it using Axis Bank card will get it for Rs 9,899. We are selling this device without any margin to boost ecosystem of our other offerings,” Le Ecosystem Technology India Chief Operating Officer Atul Jain told PTI.

The cost of the components used for making the phone is Rs 16,042, but the company is selling it at subsidised rates.

“LeEco is the first mobile brand to enter the Indian market with such an extensive after-sales network,” he added.

Le 1s features a metal unibody with a 5.5 inch full high definition display, 64-bit octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It has 13-megapixel rear camera, and 5-megapixel wide angle selfie camera.

The phone has a 3,000 mAh battery with fast charging support, which means a 5 minute quick charge can sustain a 3.5 hour talk time.

“We have ecosystem of content, cloud service, our user interface apart from devices. The other offerings will help us generate revenue. We have tied up in India with players like Eros for offering service on cloud,” Jain said.

“The brand Le 1s opened with a bang notching up 1,00,000 registrations within a few hours of the launch. We are delighted that the numbers have crossed previous records to touch over 5,50,000 in just 10 days,” Flipkart Chief Business Officer Ankit Nagori said.
