Salman Khan is busy with the shoot of his upcoming film, ‘Sultan.’ After much ado, the makers of the film have finally zeroed in on Anushka Sharma as the leading lady for the film. However, since the film is about wrestling, it requires the actors to fight it out. And in one of the fight sequences, Anushka had to slap Salman. While we have seen Anushka bash up the baddies in her production venture, ‘NH10,’ we don’t think it will be a cakewalk for the actress to pull-off slapping Salman convincingly.

After months of speculations about the leading lady of Salman Khan starrer ‘Sultan’, Anushka Sharma was eventually finalised for the coveted role. The ‘Bombay Velvet’ actress took to Twitter to post a photo from her makeup room, where she was seen getting ready for the ‘Sultan’ shoot. She tweeted, “New beginnings … New journey .. Heading for the first day of #Sultan shoot. Excited !! Here we go .. !! “. [sic] The actress looked pretty in the picture and we can’t wait to see her entire look in the film.

Anushka Sharma may have been chosen for Salman Khan’s Sultan but her character may not be exactly what we were expecting it to be. The actress will be playing a wrestler in the film, mouthing Haryanvi dialogue. She will be seen in a de-glam avatar sweating it out in the ring and will be training for three weeks before starting the shoot, reported BollywoodLife. Talking about her role in detail, director Ali Abbas Zafar revealed why she was the right choice. He said that as she is athletic, understands the language and the mannerisms, it will be easier for her to get into the skin of the character. He also added that Anushka, who has already romanced Aamir and SRK, will look good with Salman too.

Salman Khan’s upcoming film, ‘Sultan,’ has been in the news for ever, mainly because of the Bhai factor but also because the curiosity around the leading lady had been killing fans. From Deepika Padukone to Parineeti Chopra, a lot of names came our way, but none was finalized. Despite the fact that the film had gone on floors a while ago and that Salman has already completed the first schedule, there was no clue, whatsoever, about which B-Town beauty would bag this coveted role. The makers recently shared the above pic of Anushka hugging Salman on the official Twitter handle of ‘Sultan’ saying, “Meet Sultan’s Leading Lady! #SultanLeadingLady.”
