Akshay Kumar’s thriller war movie has done an awesome worldwide business of over Rs. 200 Cr in just 3 weeks of release. The low budget movie has earned so much that it become one of the greatest hits of the year 2016.

Till Tuesday, it has collected a total of Rs. 122.65 Cr in its 3 weeks as per the tweet of trade analyst Taran Adarsh, “#Airlift [Week 3] Fri 2.03 cr, Sat 3.04 cr, Sun 3.34 cr, Mon 1.04 cr, Tue 91 lacs. Total: ₹ 122.65 cr. India biz.”
After “Rowdy Rathore”, this is the second movie for the lead actor Akshay Kumar which has performed great in the Indian market. It has made a profit of 210 percent of its budget while considering the worldwide business.
The real-life story based film was released along with comedy movie “Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3” and is going much better than its competitor. The story features the biggest evacuation of Indian in Kuwait during the war between the former nation and Iraq.
